If you’re upgrading SQL Server to another version, you may get the following error when selecting Windows Authentication Mode:

C:Program FilesMicrosoft SQL Server90Setup BootstrapBPA
Now go to C:Program FilesMicrosoft SQL Server90Setup BootstrapBPABin and copy BPAClient.dllC:Program FilesMicrosoft SQL Server90Setup BootstrapBPABPAClient file and paste it in
Try installing SQL Server again and hopefully it should work.
